Adjara TV has broadcast from Batumi since November 1987, serving Georgia’s Black Sea coastal region. In December 2013, legislative changes gave Adjara TV and Radio public-broadcaster status, restructuring it as an independent, publicly funded entity alongside Georgia’s national public broadcasting system.
It was the second Georgian channel to launch satellite transmission, in 1999, and today its schedule spans news, economic reporting, cultural and educational programming, municipal-affairs coverage and sports — reflecting Adjara’s strong football and rugby culture — alongside the film-review segment Kino Blogi.
