GDS is a Tbilisi-based entertainment channel established in 2012, known as one of Georgia’s most active producers of homegrown scripted drama rather than a news outlet. Its schedule centers on feature films, music content and original in-house series, sitcoms and animation.
Its best-known production, Paradox, was billed as the first joint Georgian-Ukrainian television series when it premiered in 2014, running two seasons and drawing an international distribution deal. GDS has followed it with further original dramas including Tbilisi and The Lost Heroes, alongside a schedule of licensed feature films.
