Silk Universal is an entertainment channel operated by Silknet, Georgia’s largest telecommunications operator, as part of the Silk Media lineup alongside its sports-focused sister channel Silk Sport. The channel traces back to Silknet’s 2014-2016 acquisition of Georgian Media Group, and is distributed through the Silk TV IPTV package, satellite and the SilkGo mobile app in HD.
Its schedule mixes world cinema classics and Oscar-winning films dubbed into Georgian with foreign series from Turkey, the US and Europe, plus sports coverage including the UEFA Champions League, Georgia’s national football team, the NBA, UFC, Six Nations rugby and Grand Slam tennis. Children’s animation, documentaries, concerts and news bulletins round out the grid.
